Hi,
I've had my xperia Z now almost a year and now I have fourth memory card on because all those previous three were killed by Z. That's what I think. Every time when this problem has happened, phone says, "memomy card was unmounted unexpectedly" or something like that. I've tried those cards on different kinds of equipments, operating systems etc. None of them can't recognize them anymore. Last one was critical for me because I lost five days pictures and videos on my holiday. Those cards were sandisk 8GB class 6 (two first) and Trancend 16GB class 10(last one). So, software problem??? Any change to get my pics and vids back???

This is a nice story, why don't you take your arc S to a sony service? I do hope recuva does miracles in these cases.
You might want to try Recuva on them but it is hard to believe.Your device might have some problems, have you thought about visiting a sony service?
I installed recuva, started it and inserted card (OS is Win 8). After one second card was detected and all pics and vids were found, this is amazing. I thought this card was physically dead but that was not the case. Thank you, thank you...
Even I never really thought that it really works, nice to hear.I will suggest this to people from now on more often.
On my opinion it's really weird that it worked. I have tried this card on so many different kind of devices and operating systems and none of them could not recognize it.. Only my digital pocket camera (Canon Powershot) suggested me to format that card, size was 3,7 MB that it recognized. So that was the thing why I even had a little hope to get back my stuff. So I thought it can't be physically broken because that camera could find something...
But this next one might be the answer to this: I have Xperia Arc S, which is almost dead phone, because I wanted to go swimming with it (accidentally though). So Ihave tried to get it back to life few times. Sometimes when I connect it to charger, it starts charging and shows this charging image. Sometimes it can even be started as normal. But it never charge battery fully. It stops on 30% or something. Few days ago I inserted this sd card on that Arc S hoping it would help to get that phone back to life (don't ask me why). To be honest, I was surprised that phone started charging, connected to PC, it was recognized, but memory was not available. So, is it possible that this Arc S would have done something nice to this SD card to make it work again.
Anyway, this is very mystical thing. As far as we don't know the exact answer or reason, I Thank YOU for yor help.
You can however make use of a recovery software to get them back. Here's how you do it - http://youtu.be/V2UoteyX_AE
