Yes the D6616 is only for T-Mobile USA so that model variation will not be used by any other network or country

I have decided to keep it, and figure it out, so im going to try tio get the unbranded Android software to load in to it

wish me luck, also after reinstalling the Sim and putting in the APN again i started getting the 3g ignal so maybe Im close ti figuring it out.

thanks for the help

Make sure to unlock the phone from T-mobile, what I've used is unlock 4 cheap, or you can ask T-mobile for the unlock code; keep in mind that flashing other software won't unlock the phone.

Hi, Flashing a different Brand will not work on the T-Mobile Variant Z3. A member from the XDA community has tried it and bricked his phone while flashing the generic D6603 brand. So it is best if you do not attempt to flash any brand other than D6616

@Serophia

I hardly doubt that, post the source link, I've flashed multiple Xperias and they work just fine

@Serophia

If you read his other posts, it seems that he was flashing custom ROMs and attempting to root the phone, perhaps that's why it bricked his phone.  I'll keep checking that thread/post

Solution found, lol i bought a D6603 from Sony and it works like a dream....

Also i found the problem i had with the 6616 and it worked but not on all the ATT frequency's,

the APN settings were wrong on the phone, after checking them and talking to ATT Rep.

we found a setting that was set to "Not set", should have been set to "None" lol it had a check box for None,

Evidently "Not set" is note the same as "None"

so thanks for all the help and possible solutions
