Xperia Z5 Compact FW 32.1.A.1.163 update failed

Update arrived in Aus for the Xperia Z5 Compact.

Started update via Xperia Companion on Win10.

Update failed, now phone keeps rebooting, informing me that the update failed and to connect it to a PC and try again.

Xperia Companion no longer detects phone via usb.

Anyone know how I can fix this? i.e. How can I manually flash the firmware?

I'm sorry to hear that.

Have you tried the Repair software option in Xperia Companion as well? If not, see if you are able to perform a software repair.

I can't believe I didn't see the software repair button sitting right next to the software update button:smileysilly:. I guess I was too focused on, and excited about the update.

I've run the software repair, and it worked, FW 32.1.A.1.163 is now installed and working.
