Xperia C4 Dual E5333 USB Driver?

I bought a Sony Xperia C4 Dual in September this year. I want to use an application in Google Play: WiFi Keyboard+Screen Capture (a.k.a. MyMobiler), which mirrors the screens of the phone on the screen of a Windows PC. When successfully connected (phone and pc) through a USB cable (first time connection) or later on WiFi connections, I can use the mouse and the keyboard to change the phone’s screens and input texts in messaging apps. This application requires an installation of the USB driver in the PC. So far, I have been unable to find an appropriate USB driver for my phone. Without a proper USB driver installed in the PC, when I plugged a USB cable between the phone and the PC, the application showed this error: USB connection could not be established!

Can anyone who is well-versed with Sony Xperia USB driver help me?

Dear Rickard:

My Acer tablet runs on Windows 8.0.  Before I connected the USB cable, I had checked USB Debugging.  I was not successful connecting my Sony Xperia C4 Dual with my tablet.  However, I did breakthrough with the connection between the phone and my another laptop.  (Note: In some instances even though I have got successful connections, they "bricked" my phone.   I could not move the screen of the phone.  Out of 10 tries, 2 times that my phone was unbricked.

Though the Mymobiler client application in the laptop detected the USB connection with the phone, I could not activate the screencast service.  It may be because the application was developed from the time the version of Android was 2.0 and has never been bug-fixed.  The unsuccessful screencast  may result from anything beyond my guess.  Unfortunately I have not been able to contact the developer as my e-mails to him have always been returned.  I may have to alternatively look for a similar application that can perform screencasts from Google play.

Thank you for you guide leading to Sony ADB driver.

Sharak H.

As i understand this application, you need ADB-drivers for the phone.

Try using the ADB-driver for Xperia C4 from this page: http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-c4-driver/

Dear Rickard:

Thank you for your reply.  I have downloaded the ADB driver from the link you have given and installed in my Acer tablet.  However, it failed to work.  I cannot established the USB connection between my Xperia C4 Dual with the tablet.

Would you please help me further?  Please visit ww.mobiler.com to see the instructions.  I do not know what has gone wrong?  My previous phone is a Samsung.  It was easier.  I downloaded Samsung 's USB driiver from the deeveloper page and installed it.  The notable difference is Windows catagorizes Samsung USB driver as one of the software instead of a driver in Device Manager.

Thanks at this point for your further assistance.

Which Windows version do you have in the tablet?

Have you also enabled USB-debugging in the phone?

To do this:
Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number
Go back and select Developer options and turn on "USB debugging"

Glad to hear that you got the driver installed Slightly_smiling_Face

As you say, it might be that the app that needs to be updated to work properly with new version of Android.

I don't know of any app that has the same functionality as that app but to see if the ADB connection is working properly you could test it using for example the 3:rd party app MyPhoneExplorer from http://www.fjsoft.at/en/
