Memorycard in Tx30

I can read in your specification that the required memorycard is

"SD-minneskort/SDHC-minneskort/SDXC-minneskort/microSD-minneskort/microSDHC-minneskort"

My dealbreaker is to use my Eye-Fi card with geotagging function.

My TX30 arrived today, and was dissapointed the camera only accepts MicroSD.

Am I wrong or do you have to update the tech specifications??

Hi goateye

That does look to be a 'misprint' of some kind. The TX30 is way too small and thin to accept a standard SD card.

Cheers

Yeah, cheers.......

I will not agree to that the TX30 is way too small. Almost the same size as my previous cameras, TX5 and TX10.

Misprint - obviously.

Hope that Sony will correct it as soon as possible. I am disappointed, hope others will be able to base their purchases on correct information.

Hi goateye,

Sorry, this is not related to your question but perhaps you can help me.

I have a tx5 and I'm thinking about buying a tx30.

I'm not very happy about tx5's picture quality, specially in low light.

Will I find a picture quality improvement with tx30 over tx5?

Thank you very much in advance!!!

I still have the TX5, sold the TX10 and now I have the TX30

TX30 have much better picture quality in all situations!

The TX5 have much better movie quality. Well, not exactly the movie but how it handles the sound. Occasionally I film sometimes in the nightclub and that is impossible with both TX10 and TX30. The sound is terrible and sounds like broken speakers.

The TX5 have still clear sound and it feels like it records the sound where you put the zoom. It records the sound from the musicians on the scen - not from the screaming crowds near you, if you understand.

The TX10 felt like a misstake under all circumstances..

Anyway, I miss the SD-Card slot in the TX30!!!
