Does this device support MirrorLink connectivity ? Found on some sites that supports version 1.1 but I cannot find it in the Settings Menu. Will this function come in a upcoming update ?
Hi @gigel,
Based on the information I have MirrorLink is not supported by Xperia X Compact. It is not mentioned in the device white paper.
Hi,
why can't I find Mirrorlink in the new Xperia X compact? Will it return with android 7.1.1?
regards
Hi @realesc, I merged your post with this topic.
I'm afraid that Mirrorlink isn't supported by Xperia X Compact.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
will it return in Android 7.1.1. What is with aother current smartphones. Will they support mirrorlink?
I apologise for the late reply.
I'm afraid I don't have any information regarding future software updates.
For our current devices in the X series, MirrorLink is supported by Xperia X and Xperia X Performance.
It's really a shame the x compact doesn't support the mirror link. My old z3 compact seems having it, same with z5 but not the x compact!!
You really should report this !
Is there a way to include the MirrorLink on the Xperia X Compact? The absence of MirrorLink on the phone prevent me to display the phone navigation on the touch screen of my honda HR-V
This is crazy! I have been a loyal user of the xperia compacts before and they have all worked fine with MirrorLink. When I upgraded my phone i didn't realise i was actually getting a downgrade that would make it more dangerous to use my phone whilst driving!
Why was this not included in any of the documentation of the phone - and to hear the other X series phones are compatable is just an insult. This needs to be more xplicitly marketed as you cannot just remove functionality that people are taking for granted as a neccesity from it being used in previous devices for several years!
We need an answer of when this is likely to be resolved - or even if it can be resolved.
Exactly! It's a madness that by having a newer phone I lose such a feature just because a prefer a smaler device.
I really hope they'll fix it.
