'No sound' in Xperia X F5122

Whilst making a video, suddenly the video could not record as the audio was busy else where  Now I do not have any sound in the phone. I have run all the tests, updated and repaired the software through Xperia Companion  , restored to factory settings but still no sound. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

@Chishti

Are you saying that

1) the speakers aren't working

or

2) mic isn't working

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test mic, loud speakers.

Ran the test both the speaker and the mic not working . Keep getting the message audio settings not working ,close the application.

Try making video and try test in safe mode to find out if an app is jeopardizing your video and speaker output.

Thanks for your help . Ran the test in safe mode, still same problem  unable to get any sounds  or record or even play any videos.

Have the exact same issue. Did all the tests, factory reset  safe mode, sound about, audio router, etc. None work. Sent it back to Sony who fixed. However, less than a month later, no sound and no mic again. Although weirdly, the sound briefly came back at one point for about 30 mins after a week of nothing. Makes me think it's definitely a software issue. Any help on how to fix will be very much appreciated.

Have the exact same model as the original poster.

Update on my issue. I went on holiday to another country and weirdly the mic/speakers started to work for about half a day. Then back to no mic and silence. However, on returning back to the UK my phone is totally working again! It's been almost a week now and going strong.

I'm not sure if the issue is partly related to network settings, or it's a coincidence and the broken apps/conflicts causing the issue have updated and fixed themselves at the same time.

If you're on Oreo you can just ask Sony people to downgrade your phone's software if possible and see if that helps ....

The same problem since one year ago. I fixed with the factory restoring, but yesterday I restored with same and with the lastest software upgrade without success. I and planning to get a Samsung seriously and never come back to Sony anymore.

I was a strong fan of Sony Ericsson
