Recently I went abroad and during that time my phone stopped reading my SIM-card. In the top left it says: "No SIM-card, no service". I have tried with another card, same issue and when I place my sim-card into another device it works fine. This means that the issue must lie within the hardware. Is there any way to fix this without heading to a reparation centre?
Hi @TheodorB, I am sorry to hear about this.
If your your phone do not manage to detect any SIM card at all I would suggest that you try to perform a software repair on your phone using a computer and Xperia Companion. Please note though that a software repair will erase all user data, so remember to do a backup of your user data first.
If the software repair do not manage to improve the functionality of the SIM card reader, I suggest that you get in contact with your local support team. They can help you to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be physically examined. If you have any questions regarding the service, such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these type of questions are best answered by your local support team as well, as they vary between markets.
