Updating to Oreo

How to correctly install major update. Got notification via OTA and some people say its best to do a factory reset first and etc, then install or something like that... If anyond can post right steps to install, I would be thankful. Ps, single sim model.

Updating through OTA can do the trick, but to avoid any 3rd party apps causing conflicts after the upgrade I always suggest to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. It's wise to create a backup using Xperia Transfer for your important data on the internal memory.
