Got a z5 compact yesterday. Set it up using fingerprint recognition but I'm pretty certain I wasn't requested to enter a pin code.
Got up this morning and fingerprint recognition says it is locked and requests a pin code.
Anyone know what the default code is?
Hi,
Before you even scan your fingers on the sensor during the setup. It will already prompt to create a pin or password, that is a must for 2ndary recovery/unlock the phone like your current situation.
You may have forgoten or somewhat.....

Ahhhhh!!
I don't remember entering a pass code, but even if I did it is asking for a 4 digit code so I would normally use one of two.
I've tried both of them and a few other codes and nothing works.
It just says I've used up my 5 attempts and wait 30seconds to try again.
Is there a way to master reset my phone? I don't mind really as I've only had it since last night and can reinstall everything
Actually, I tried this and it worked a treat!
I went to: http://myxperia.sonymobile.com/
Entered my Google username and password and it found my device on a map (Pretty much pointing at my desk at work)
I sent my phone a new unlock code from there, entered it into my phone and I'm back in business!
