Problem: Notification Sounds and Ringtones

Hi everyone. I have opened a topic about the sound distortion in the beginning of any sound on device. Alexdon[http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/7878] helped me very much. But i have noticed something different.

I did a factory reset and a clean install the latest update. Whenever I receive a message, call, whatsapp message etc. (or something that causes a notification sound or call sound), the sound freezes a bit or some cracking or lag happens just before starting to play. I tested it both with normal boot and safe boot. Is this a hardware or software problem? I need some Sony Stuff to help here. I have read all Xperia Z1 forums and some people have this problem. And it is on my Xperia Z1 Compact. This is a suberb phone and I need some help. Can I really need to go to Sony Service? or Warranty?

And is there anyone who has this problem?

Me too! if somebody wants to create a petition to sony, i'll sign it immediately!

@maragos: I completely agree with you! it's an unexcepatable thing! 

The problem is that CHAT service is full of people that have no idea of how a phone works, telephone service seem to be a registered voice (because they always said the same things) and because of it, customers does not have a service to speak directly with sony and report bugs of their smartphones.

I can understand (or maybe it's also crazy ) that Sony release a new version full of bugs, but they must listen to their customers and resolve their problems ASAP!

I don't think i'm familiar with any other issue regarding ringtones then the one discussed in this thread.

So let´s hope this FW will be a FAST bugfix emergency update, as the update on Z1 with the headset button not working out of the box a few days after release...

Hi Rickard,

there is another one: the "Increasing ringtone" option does not work. The ringer always starts with the preset volume, regardless of the state of this checkbox. It has no effect on the ringer volume at all. I have to admit the problem was present under JB as well.

Hi Rickard first of all thank you for your information. But the cracking notification tone problems are also in Xperia z1. I have seen it also in z1 forums.
