Unable to load message appears when wifi or data are turned off...

I receive a message 'Unable to load. Please check your internet connection and try again' when I unlock the screen or disconnet the wifi or data connection.  I am not able to tell which app it is, how can I find out which app is causing this?

The message now seemed to have dissapeared when I unistalled a few 3rd party apps.  My guess is it might be one of them or a recent update of a of a few apps.  I will however, in future, bear the safe mode restart option in mind should it happen again.  Thank you for your help.

Hi @surhants,

Next time you get this notification, press and hold your finger on it and you should be able to see which app it is related to.

That's odd. Would you mind taking a screenshot of this notification and upload it to the forum?

Here is the screenshot I get, still have not managed to solve it or find out which app requires the internet.  Screenshot_2016-03-10-12-37-28.png

Thanks for the screenshot! It doesn't appear as a normal notification which explains why my first suggestion didn't work.

This makes it hard to pinpoint which app this relates to though. Could you check if it appears if you restart your phone into safe mode? That way we'll at least know if it relates to a system app or a downloaded one.

I've seen this message a few times on mine.
Only when I received a mms.
When I open messages, I tried to download the mms,and kept on getting that message you get.
I turned on data, and then download the mms,and all works fine.
Apparently you cant download mms messages with wifi as they are carrier specific so you need to have your data on and use their bandwith to receice the mms.

Also if you have your setting to receive/download mms automatically, then that message will be constantly telling you it didn't Download it,because its trying to with the data off all the time

@surhants I'm glad to hear that. Slightly_smiling_Face

@exsanguinator MMS could indeed be one of the causes of a message like this. Thanks for the input!
