Xperia Z1 won't boot up.

Hey everyone. I seem to have a problem with my Z1. I bought it a couple of months ago and it seemed to work fine, nevermind the occasional mysterious sudden reboots. Anyway today it suddenly shut off, I kept holding the power button but nothing worked, however after a while it turned on again on its own. Couple of hours from then I took it to the pool, after I made sure it was completely sealed a couple of times, it worked fine for a couple of minutes then it started rebooting on its own for 5-6 times, so I took it out, dried it and left it. 10 minutes later it won't turn on, not a single light. I connected it to a wall charger it booted up the sony logo showed a full battery sign then shut off again. I left until it was fully charged, indicated by the green LED, and tried again, however I got the same exact response. I connected it via a USB, the LED shines dark blue but nothing happens, nor can the laptop install its software. I tried holding the volume+power button nothing happens unless it is charging but not via a USB tho. I even tried hard reseting it but still got nothing. I really do need my phone back as normal ASAP! Thanks! Oh and sorry for taking so long Slightly_smiling_Face

Hi,

I'm facing this problem after I suddenly drop my Sony Xperia Z1 into water. After that, I was still able to boot up but not shutdown. After next days I wasn't anle nor boot up, LED light was black, nothing happened when I press power button. When I connected my phone to charger, LED diod indicated orange color for second, after that indicated red color and the charging animation appeared. But nothing more.

My solution is following:

1. Connect the phone to charger;
2. Force shutdown/restart your phone (tutorial). If nothing happens try to hold for several seconds any combination of power button + volume buttons;
3. After you successfully boot up your phone, go to Settings > Backup & Restore > Factory Data Reset > Reset Phone and Erase Everything. Don't forget to backup all your important data, because this process erase everything on your internal disk.

I hope this help :).
