Why is my Xperia SP so slow?

Hi.

Bought a brand new pay-as-you-go Xperia SP on EE. But a few days ago had an Alcatel One Touch Idol S with specs lower than the SP.

But i noticed that the Idol S is relatively faster than the Xperia SP in terms of initial startup, downloading/installing apps, opening/closing and flicking thru homescreens.

I wonder why is that?

Any advice please?

Had the same problem,very slow opening apps etc,discovered it was the live wallpaper,hope this helps

What is the live wallpaper and how to deactivate it ?

live papers are some kind of motion image...they set on backgroun you can disable them by changing background to a image...hold long on home screen>wallpaper>you will see album and live wallpaer and some preloaded image

you can choose what you wants
