Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with the touchscreen.

Does this happen when a certain accessory is connected to the phone or when you run a certain app in the phone? Does it help to wipe off the screen and turn the display off and on again?

Could you please send me a PM with the following information and i'll forward it for further investigation:

When I'm in the input state, the screen occasionally uncontrolled.Through close and re open the power supply button can solve but that give me a big inconvenience. Based on the understanding of many users, the prevalence of this problem. Please pay attention to and give a reply.

Hi !

I received my Z2 in France less than two months ago, and it's been having ghost touches for almost two weeks now...

That phone is crazy, screen often spams itself (like I don't touche anything but it recognizes multiple touches at some locations on the screen), and some zones that I touch makes the phone react in another zone !

This is the first post I can find on the internet regarding the same issue. Has there been any development on this problem ? Is it a hardware issue ? What should I do ?

Thanks

Having the same problem on my Z2, although it appears randomly. But has happened quite a few times.

Since I'm not the only one having this issue I'm going to share my experience here, even tho it seems like only a few z2 are going nuts ^^

after a month trying to find a solution on my own (I made my z2 sleep in a bowl of rice for a week for nothing just in case), I gave up and went to my phone carrier (SFR from france, fyi) to get them to handle the return to sony's customer service.

Yesterday, after a week that my precious has been gone, I went to get back my z2. Except all they did was a "software repair" ("90% of smartphone troubles come from the software" they said to me when I didn't seem convinced...). Well, I turned it on while getting out of the shop, praying to the seven gods and the old ones that it would work perfectly (as it should) and a couple minutes later it started doing the same crap all over again...

So to put it in a nutshell :

it's not a software issue (the fact that this phenomenon appeared only occasionnaly on different devices (xperia z2, z1, ipad 2 (just what I found while looking for ghost touches issues) sustains that theory),

and I have to go back and yell at anyone until I actually get a working phone...

So I'll keep you updated, in the mean time good luck trying to type a text message Winking_Face

Hi,

Actually this was the reason i joined this forum, to find out why my Xperia goes nuts sometimes.

I had it for about a month and then it suddenly went from fully functional to totally dead, without me dropping it anything else.

So it got repared, and after i got it back it has flipped out twice like 22 fingers touching the screen at once it opens and closes everything, takes screenshots etc.

However, i do know that this problem has only occured when i have had the application Player Pro open.

If it's a problem with the application or the phone, i don't know...i use the app all the time.

Hi, exactly same problem here. Screen goes crazy and taps all over, most of time I have to power off the phone and turn it on again for temp fix, is there a possible solution?
